Wrinkles - How To Prevent Wrinkles
A smooth skin definitely looks very attractive, but wrinkles in the form of laugh lines or other folds don’t make you look great. The folds and furrows that form around eyes at the time of laughing or smiling, tend to become permanent and more noticeable with growing age. The task to keep your skin free from these wrinkles is not easy, unless one is able to remain away from sun light and could avoid weight gain, all sources of pollution, and comedy shows too. Notwithstanding all the age-induced problems, it is still possible to combat them by observing many easy to follow measures in one’s life.
Though wrinkles tend to get formed on all part of one’s body, it is the ones that appear over exposed parts like face, neckline, forearms etc that are of greater concern. Normally we pay greater attention to face, but as summer approaches, the rush to shop for swimming wear does reflect our inherent faults. Yet it may be lot easier to keep the skin healthy if we use sunscreen lotions and avoid yo-yo kind of dieting that leads to periods of weight gain and weight loss.
As we get older, skin does not remain as elastic as when we were young. The entire structure under our skin begins to deteriorate. After being stretched out after laughing or frowning, it doesn’t bounce back like it used to. That doesn’t mean that there is nothing that can be done about wrinkles.
Remember that anyone who has spent lots of time sunbathing without protection will eventually pay the price. Those who have abused their bodies by smoking will probably develop more facial wrinkles. And, anyone who has failed to follow basic nutritional guidelines or has lost and then gained lots of weight repeatedly will look back in regret.
Keeping your skin well-nourished is one of the basic rules of skin care. Following a diet that meets or exceeds the daily requirements of vitamins and minerals is essential. Dermatological tests have proven that without sufficient intake of Vitamin C and linoleic acid (an omega-6 fatty acid commonly found in flower oils) skin is more likely to age quickly and atrophy, resulting in abundant wrinkles. Also, a diet that is heavy in carbohydrates and fats can have a similar effect on the skin’s appearance.
Another frequent cause of skin related problems is clogging up of skin pores by sweat, oils and pollution. Here use of a suitable skin cleanser is of utmost important; otherwise it would rather have a negative effect on the skin. Use of cleansers containing harsh chemicals can result in irreversible harm to skin. Merely a product coming with enticing names, making unreasonable or impractical tall claims or being endorsed by some Hollywood damsel, can’t guarantee you a healthy skin or make the skin free from wrinkles.
Be sure to check the list of ingredients before you put anything on your skin, especially your face. If you know you are allergic to any of the ingredients don’t use the product and if you see a list of long, complicated, confusing names do a little research to make sure that you are not trading wrinkles for cancer. Presently, the trend is toward natural and organic products, which tend to have a more gentle touch, and many companies are offering new, mild skin care possibilities.
Use a little common sense when it comes to skin care. Even though we all have to play the hand we are dealt - hypersensitivity to the sun or bad genes - doing a little research or choosing to wear a big floppy hat at the beach will go a long way towards keeping you skin smooth and fabulous.
