The herpes simplex virus can tell when there is any change in your body because it makes its home in your nerves. It will quickly sense the effects of the above mentioned triggers.

Here are the three main conditions of your body that will help activate the otherwise dormant cold sore virus. These are the basic causes of cold sores.

1. ACID pH.

The acid or alkaline state of your body is its pH balance. The pH scale runs from 1 through 14 - below 7 is acid and above 7 is alkaline. Your optimal pH is 7.35, which is slightly alkaline.

As long as you stay above 7 pH, you will not likely get a cold sore. When your pH dips into the acid range - below 7 - your tissue oxygen levels drop and you are ripe for a cold sore outbreak. This is what causes cold sores in most people.

Stress creates hormone changes that lower your pH balance. By doing this, stress causes cold sores. Colds, flu and frigid weather stress the body - also lowering pH. These are claimed to be causes of cold sores.

Coffee, soda and alcohol lower pH and causes cold sores in many people. Meats like pork and beef will do so also. Most vegetables are alkaline when digested. You must keep your diet in balance to prevent a cold sore event.

Without a doubt, a low pH is the main cause of cold sores. The next two are also causes of cold sores. Combining these with a low pH makes you a sure target for another cold sore.

2. IMBALANCE OF LYSINE AND ARGININE.

Arginine is the main protein building block for the herpes simplex virus. If arginine is not available, your cells cannot create new herpes virus - and no cold sore will occur. This is true even if you have an acid pH balance.

Your cells have a special area within the cell to store arginine. Lysine is also stored in the same area. If you take in high levels of lysine, your cells will make room for it by getting rid of some arginine.

Your cells cannot use lysine to create new herpes virus or cause cold sores. The more arginine you replace with lysine, the fewer cold sore outbreaks you will experience.

Taking lysine supplements is the most common way folks get enough lysine to prevent cold sores.

3. VITAMINS AND MINERALS.

The spark plugs of life are the vitamins and minerals you consume each day. Your immunity to disease critically depends on these nutrients.

A feeble immune system causes cold sores. It would be wise, especially if you get frequent cold sore outbreaks, to get a good supply of vitamins and minerals from food and supplement every day.

There are only about half the nutrients in today’s food as there was in 1950. For optimum health, be sure to take a high quality multivitamin daily along with a good balanced diet.

Sleep apnea can often be caused by obesity as there is a lack of muscle tone around the airway. The lack of oxygen can cause major medical problems with the brain and heart, sometimes causing death.

Reasearch has recetnly shown that asthma could be related to obesity. In people who are severely overweight, the airways become narrowed due to the under-expansion of their lungs. It has been found that the obese have common low-quality general swelling, this irritations can cause restraints of the air passages when soft muscle tissue are affected.

It’s difficult, but teens need to worry about their body’s health and other things. Overweight teenagers often report that school is a horrifying experience for them. Other kids are cruel and say nasty things to them. Adding to the growing list of problems, overweight teens often become very withdrawn and suffer from depression due to their weight.

Teen’s eating habits are a big factor in obesity of that age group. Teens are known for their preference for junk food. Vending machines containing junk food have been removed in many school districts. They have replaced them with juice, water, and healthy snacks.

To go one-step further the teenager should begin changing their diet at home. Stop eating the high calorie fast food they are so in love with and opt instead for healthy home cooked meals.

A great idea is to plan your diet choices to be slowly added to your regular diet. Three regular meals per day and two snacks. Throw away packaged foods in favor of home made. Placing a little amounts of food on your plate and eating them slowly -remember they do not have to clean the plate!- is referred as portion control. You should include several servings of fruits and vegetables to ensure that you are consuming a balanced and healthy diet. You should drink alot of water because somtimes when we think we are hungry we are actually thirsty, and alot of water is very healthy.

In the way of exercise the teenagers are getting less and less. Due to all the increased activities that do no require physical activity, most teenagers do not get much exercise. Televisions should have viewing limits and should not be in the bedroom. Two great ideas for family exercise is walking or riding bikes.

If all else fails come up with some creative chores they can do to get some exercise. Mowing the lawn, raking leaves or shoveling snow are all good forms of exercise. Your goal is to get them moving no matter what it takes.

1) Addictive tendencies, dysfunctional behaviours and the like will start to disappear completely because of the healing of unresolved mental and emotional issues at the very deepest levels.

2) You will in time begin to experience a profound sense of inner peace and self acceptance - because all those feelings of self-hatred, shame etc. will begin to wash away, which are some of the major emotions that keep you stuck in addiction.

3) The insecurities, doubts and fears that you have always had and that have held you back - will transform into a real belief and confidence - that will allow success to come to you far more easily and effortlessly than you could ever have imagined.
