As I mentioned previously, anyone who says losing weight is easy is lucky. For many of us it is not easy and is an ongoing struggle.

However, while you might not like it, you need to lose weight right? Here are 5 more steps to help you along your path…

Remember, “One step at a time…” You’ve been a while in getting where you are today. Now, be patient. Change takes time. You can do this!

1. Drink water

Water is great for getting rid of toxins in your body. Water has no calories. Water is the elixir of life. Instead of drinking juice in the morning, soft drinks at lunch time, or wine with dinner, try substituting water for at least one of these meals or more. Water fills you up and keeps the calorie count down. GO Water!

2. Write down what you eat

What makes this easy is that, when you promise you will write things down, you will eat less so you have less to write!! Don’t cheat!

3. Tell yourself ahead of time that you will not buy items from the checkout area in stores, the vending machines at the office, or the extra scone at the coffee spot or brownie at the lunch deli counter… We all know how they load those areas up with impulse items… candy bars, gum, breath mints, whatever… They all have calories and will go straight to that pot in the middle of your body. Say no ahead of time and remind yourself when you’re checking out how smug you feel!

4. Get rest

Interestingly, your body reacts to limited rest by doing some strange things. For one, when your body is not adequately rested it believes it needs to help you “survive″. It stores extra fat for the stress you’re dealing with, believing that your health is compromised and you will need all the energy you can muster. Proper sleep is essential.

5. Be involved with others

Make time to help others. This will take you away from your own issues and maybe even help you get a better perspective on your life, your weight, and what is important in life.

Every day, there are people all over the world who decide that they are sick and tired of not having any energy, or the excess fat they are carrying on their bodies.

The purpose of this article is for the people I mentioned above. I′m going to outline some tips that can be very helpful in regards to helping you get on the right path to your goals.

Here are some good tips to help you on your way

1. Stop doing the same repetitive cardio

Many people choose to do the same cardio over and over and as a result they get bored from it and are more likely to stop training. One thing that can counter this is to change around your exercise plan. For example, you could go for a run one day, then a bike ride the next, followed by a swim the next day. Another great idea is to change your workouts to ‘interval training’. Interval training is where you will start off at the same pace, and then for a certain interval you will raise the intensity, and then drop it back down and repeat. This is very effective for fat loss.

2. Use structured workouts

Another thing that can be detrimental to people′s progress is ‘guessing’ what to do rather than following a program from someone who knows. This occurs frequently in weight rooms. Many people think they know what to do and just go along with it, whereas most of the time they are actually doing themselves more harm than good. If you go to your local gym you will find trainers willing to give you advice. You can even find a tonne of experienced people in the field of fat loss online!

3. Workout from home

Some people are embarrassed or for whatever reason decide that they don’t want to go to a public gym. Luckily, you can do all the training you like from home. If you buy a bench press and some dumbbells, you can easily create a workout program for yourself in conjunction with the people you spoke to after you read tip 2!

4. Cost effective cardio

Sometimes people can’t afford a gym membership. They would rather spend their money elsewhere and this is fine. Running is one of the best forms of cardio and you don’t need to pay a cent for it! You can also create your own cost effective workouts. One I love to do is to get a deck of cards and write down prior to it what each card represents. You turn over each card and do the corresponding exercise and turn over the next card. This costs less than $2 to set up and you can create all kinds of very effective workouts!

5. Get Support

A lot of the time people just can’t find the motivation to continue on with their goals. If you have people who are aware of what you’re trying to achieve and are very supportive of you, this can be a great way to make sure you keep motivated and on the right track. An even better situation would be to have a friend/partner or whoever that has the same goals as you and can work out with you!

Colorectal Cancer prevention and diet really have a lot in common.

Your colon and rectum are responsible for lots of factors regarding nutrient absorption, water management and elimination of waste.

You don’t need a scientist to specifically tell you that garbage in is equivalent to garbage out. Let us hear what these experts have to say regarding this matter.

In the studies of colorectal cancer prevention and diet, it has discovered that red and processed meats were its major contributor. Unfortunately, many doctors in France were not convinced with its “existing evidence” and decided to do a more comprehensive study.

There were 478,040 men and women in a span of nearly five years that they followed before they have concluded that red and processed meat were a positive cause for colon cancer, adding that eating fish would reduce a person’s risk. [Journal of the National Cancer Institute, Vol. 15;97:906-16]

This is not the only available research involving omega 3 oil, explaining that fish is a factor in reducing colorectal cancer.

Doctors that were associated with New York University Women’s Health Study monitored 14,727 women for 7 years. They have found “a progressive decline in the risk for colorectal cancer by increasing intake of fish and shellfish.”

They actually found more. There is a similar decline in the risk for women who have been inversely proportionate to the amount of calcium they consume. This means that women who ate most calcium had the lowest risk.

Interesting as it may seem, they were not as certain about the red meat connection as how the doctors in France were. In fact, as what the doctors from NYU stated, association of red meat to colorectal cancer “remains unclear.” [Nutrition &amp Cancer, Vol. 28:276-81]

A study in Harvard suggested that it’s so much the red meat and fats that causes the problem, but it’s our “western” lifestyle.

It was mentioned that obesity, being physically inactive, a person who has a diet how in vegetables and fruits while high in red meat and processed goods contributes most in giving you high levels of insulin in the blood!

Researchers have explained that elevated blood insulin will “promote colon carcinogenesis” because insulin is a “growth factor” that will cause cellular division of epithelial cells in the colon. [Cancer Causes &amp Control, Vol. 6, No. 2:164-79]

Curious what do we have to do to the colorectal cancer prevention and diet? It’s pretty easy.

You just need to stick with whole foods. This includes lots of vegetables, fresh fruit, whole grains and other fiber rich foods. Always use unprocessed oils, like extra virgin olive oil, lean meats that are mostly, fish and chicken, then again, an occasional T-bone won’t hurt. Be sure you always get low fat dairy foods, and plenty of pure water.

It’s very important to cut out the alcohol intake, practice stress management, and exercise regularly.

By these guideless, it won’t just reduce the risk for colorectal cancer but to other types of cancer, heart diseases and diabetes too. This will also improve your vim, vigor and your vitality.

What is the best wrinkle treatment?

People are bound to get old, and as we get older each year, signs of aging also begin to show up on our facial skin. Aging became visible through the skin because this is the organ that gets easily affected by the different factors of aging.

If you want to have wrinkle treatment to get rid of those visible wrinkles showing on your face and neck, there are lots of treatments that you can choose from. Among the treatments available are surgical procedures like facelift, laser technology, and some are topical and natural like application of anti-wrinkle creams and natural creams with anti-aging effects. Just make sure that you will choose the best one for your type of skin.

In older age, our face starts looking very dull. We can’t blame anyone but our body for this. At this age body requires a lot of time to replace cells. It takes almost double time of what it used to take in our young days. That’s why our face loses all the glow.

The kinds of wrinkle treatments:

1) Laser treatment or the laser resurfacing is one of the treatments available for wrinkles. This can treat people with dynamic wrinkles or the wrinkles that many people develop because of the facial expression they keep using in their day-to-day life. These expressions make the skin fold that leads to formation of wrinkles at older age.

However, this treatment is not very successful for getting a permanent solution to the problem. By this treatment, the wrinkles will get removed for some time but as we use different facial expressions every day, the skin will again fold. New wrinkles will start appearing that will need to be treated again after some time.

Laser treatment eliminates dead skin cells in the skin surface resulting to a finer and tighter skin. The skin tone will also even out after the treatment leaving your skin with a fair complexion. Skin cells cannot automatically do the replacement on its own way. Another laser treatment is required after six months to fully remove the damage.

2) Facelift is also a kind of treatment for wrinkles. It is a surgical procedure done to remove excess fatty tissues and to tighten facial muscles. The procedure is painful so it requires anesthesia to lessen the pains. This is done by separating the skin from the tissue. The fats are removed and the skin is pulled back to tighten it and to produce younger looking skin without the trace of time. Like laser treatment, facelift is also temporary. It requires another procedure after a certain period of time.

3) Another form of wrinkle treatment is the use of creams and other products that are purposely formulated to remove wrinkles or to fight aging. Some are Botox, Collagen injection, anti-aging creams, anti-wrinkle creams, chemical peels, dermabrasion, and Thermage. These products require more than one treatment but it can help you a lot in your struggle of removing the wrinkles from your face.
