Addiction and Substance Abuse Help: Tools to Transform your Life
People often ask me if there are any tools or resources out there that can help make the process of trying to overcome - or recover from an addiction (whether it be alcohol, drugs or whatever) - that bit easier.
And I can most definitely say a resounding,’ Yes!’ to that. Look - I do believe participating in a twelve-step program is still critical - but the tools/resources I found will put your recovery process on absolutely top speed - and totally transform your life at the same time.
Let’s begin with the end in mind and think what we’re trying to achieve and the ‘place’ we’re trying to get to in overcoming an addiction. It naturally evolves and develops continuously - but what thoughts spring to mind about how you would like to feel, and have your life be like, by being drug and alcohol free?
Confident and genuinely happy … at peace with yourself … surrounded by wonderful people … successful? Make this list your own and add to it all the things you can possibly think of.
So as far as I’m concerned, any tool or resource you decide to use needs to achieve the following for you - because these are the things that will help make overcome your addiction to alcohol, drugs or whatever far easier - but also go on to help you create the life you want as I referred to previously …
1) Addictive tendencies, dysfunctional behaviours and the like will start to disappear completely because of the healing of unresolved mental and emotional issues at the very deepest levels.
2) You will in time begin to experience a profound sense of inner peace and self acceptance - because all those feelings of self-hatred, shame etc. will begin to wash away, which are some of the major emotions that keep you stuck in addiction.
3) The insecurities, doubts and fears that you have always had and that have held you back - will transform into a real belief and confidence - that will allow success to come to you far more easily and effortlessly than you could ever have imagined.
The resources/tools I use can do all the above and plenty more for you. I am so grateful to have found them because they have totally transformed my life - and they can do the same for you no question. So make sure you check out the links provided to find out more.
