Eyeglasses used to be a burden to people. They were not very stylish, they felt like they weighed a ton, and they were extremely large in size. Unfortunately, those individuals could do nothing about it because they needed the glasses to see. There were children trying to get out of wearing their glasses, but they would have to wear them while they did their studies. At the same time they were humiliated as the other kids called them “Four Eyes” and “Geek.”

Times are definitely not like that. Billions of people have to have their vision corrected. Usually, they correct their vision with eyeglasses first and will move to contact lenses later. Fortunately, though, more and more people are finding satisfaction with their eyeglasses. This is great for those who may not be able to wear contact lenses. The advent of designer frames has made wearing eyeglasses a lot more bearable.

Popular types of designer frames

There are many types of popular designer frames. They come in all different shapes and sizes. They also come in many different colours. It just more or less depends on your eye colour, your hair colour, and the shape of your face. But no matter what your physical features are, you?re going to find a designer frame that will take care of you.

Each manufacturer has their own unique style and it is that unique style that reels people in. One person may like Tommy Hilfiger, while the other person may like Calvin Klein because of the style.

The different types of designer frames out there include: Coach, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Dolce Gabanna, Oakley, Gucci, Prada, Versace, Chanel, Dior, and many more. These are the individuals that are responsible for the rectangle designs that offer up a little bit of flair. For those needing a more round frame, perhaps a frame by Coach will get the job done. You can usually distinguish the different brands by looking at them if you’re familiar with their styles.

The purchase

You have so many options when it comes to purchasing designer frames. You also have several buying options. You can always buy from your optometrist or a dispensary. Then again, you can purchase your desired designer frame on the Internet. This means you’re going to have a lot more to choose from. You’re not limited to the inventory of your optometrist or dispensary. Just make sure you are familiar with what frame shapes and colours look good on you. You definitely don’t want to get something that is going to look terrible.

Then there is the fact that your prescription is going to determine what looks good on you. Those who require extremely thick lenses may not do well with a rimless or half-rim frame. So that is something else to keep in mind.

Most importantly, having so many buying options allows you to compare your prices. You can find the best frame and the best deal for you. You do, however, need to make sure you’re able to have your prescription placed within the frame. It doesn’t do any good to have a designer frame if you cannot use it to see out of. There is also the fact that you may find so many great deals that you decide to buy several different frames. Maybe one day you’re in a certain mood and you choose your frame for that day. That’s a good way to mix it up because, let’s face it, designer glasses are now a fashion statement. They′re not a burden anymore. Perhaps that is why more and more people are making the decision to wear their eyeglasses over their contact lenses.

As organic skin care grows in popularity, people are starting to realize just how unhealthy mainstream make up, lotions and basic heath items are. With this awareness has come a mounting alarm that these products are not FDA regulated and manufacturers can get away with using a lot of additives that pharmaceutical companies cannot. As a result, potentially life threatening chemicals are being placed in everyday items like baby oil, lotions and creams putting consumers at risk.

Many of these items can create adverse skin reactions and rashes that turn men and women off from the use of these otherwise beneficial items.

Below is a list of some of the things you should look out for when purchasing regular skin care products that may cause irritation or be potentially toxic.

Parabens

Parabens are a collective group of preservatives that have been used by the cosmetic and beauty aid industry to reduce bacterial growth in their products. Many Parabens start with the prefix of methyl, ethyl, butyl, or propyl and are extremely hazardous to health as well as irritating to the skin.

Below is a list of some of these parabens as well as other toxic chemicals that can be aggravating to the largest organ of the human body as well as contribute to a host of ailments.

- Color and Fragrance - both of these substances do not provide anything other than an aesthetic or scent related effect, however, both have properties in them that create skin sensitivity. They are also carcinogenic, meaning that they could cause caner.

- DMDM Hydantoin. Another preservative, this chemical has been attributed to the releases of formaldehyde. This harmful byproduct not only causes skin irritation, it creates allergies and joint pain as well as a long list of hormonal problems.

- Triclosan. This chemical has been categorized by the EPA as a chlorophenol, a high level carcinogen. Just a tiny bit can create major health problems and wreak havoc on the body. The continued use of Triclosan has been linked to hormonal imbalances in both men and women.

- Propylene Glycol (PG) - petroleum based preservative this substance has been cited among the many numerous skin irritants in cosmetic and beauty products. It is also so toxic that handlers have to wear safety gear just to touch it.

- Butylene Glycol - also a petroleum based chemical, both butylene and propylene glycol is dangerous and extremely deadly and some cases. Butylene has been linked to cancer and numerous other chronic disorders.

- Mineral Oil - yet another petroleum product, mineral oil clogs pores creating aggravating break outs and rashes in many users. It also interferes with the skin?s ability to renew and repair itself. This can create a host of problems outside of mere acne issues as the skin needs to function properly for other important organs to work efficiently.

On an even scarier note, most baby oil is made up of 100% Mineral Oil!

There are hundreds more chemicals that can adversely affect the skin or cause illness — to find out what they are, you should do further, in depth research on the topic.

Other problems associated with mainstream skin care products

Continued use of over the counter, mainstream skin care products can contribute to hormonal imbalances, allergies, severe skin irritations leading to rashes and dermatitis, disorders like CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) headaches, depression, mood swings and hyperactivity.

The answer

Using organic skincare products can alleviate some of the risks commonly associated with the use of mainstream beauty products. Be careful in this regard as many manufacturers may claim something is all natural or organic yet have chemicals in them.

Read all skin care product labels and above all, strive to make sure that you replace harmful chemical based products in your home with truly organic purchases. Though a bit more time consumptive, you will be rewarded with a better health and more luxurious and thankful skin.

When and how to get better brain development for your child is essential; many suggest the use of computer programs. Experts however believe that it should be done with timing. It is indeed useless if the child’s brain development has actually closed.

The best time will be before your baby is born up to the time it reaches 3 years old. During this time, you can create a lot of impact in your child’s brain and its capacity to learn for the rest of their life.

It may be strange to begin earlier than they’re able to read, write or reason, but studies have shown that these skills are slowly developed even before a child reaches kindergarten.

In the latest research published in Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology [Vol. 42: 174-181], doctors studied 56 babies, as young as 5 days old, and gave them a diet supplement of omega 3 fish oil fatty acids and DHA.

The group that was given DHA definitely had a higher cognitive and motor skills and was able to beat the other group (who were not able to get fish oil supplements) based on the “Mental Development Index.”

Doctors have concluded that an early dietary supply of fish oil with DHA is needed at an early age to assure an improved performance and mental development for full term babies.

Rresearch on premature babies, that was published in the Clinics of Perinatology, . [Vol. 22(1):157-75], established that babies who are not born full term also benefit from fish oil. Those given omega 3 fatty acids with DHA as supplements definitely had improvement in their cognitive and visual development.

These are only a few of the several studies conducted which can give proof that the secret to a child’s brain development is getting sufficient amounts of omega 3 with DHA.

DHA happens to be the richest long-chain omega 3 in the brain tissue. It is said that 95% of all the lipids at birth consist of DHA and forms part of the brain tissues during the pregnancy and during the first year of life.

Women should eat more fish and get dietary supplements of fish oil during pregnancy. It is a good way to enhance a child’s brain development and assures a child’s intelligence and better ability to learn in the future.

Then, see to it that you breast-feed your child during the first year. Breast milk is said to contain rich amounts of omega 3’s for your baby.

A report was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition and it demonstrates that even small amounts of dietary fish oil with DHA helps in increasing breast milk content. [Vol. 40, 780-785]

These research results on brain development were enough to convince my wife to use fish oil while she was pregnant and while nursing our children. She also started giving supplements of salmon oil to our children while they were just six months old.

We would remove the oil from the capsules and place it in spoons then feed it to them. Now, we get comments on how smart they are and their good test scores can prove it.

But what can be better is that they are happy and healthy children too. Use fish oil for your kids and you will be glad you did.

With hair being the crowning glory, it’s natural why people doesn′t welcome being bald. Hair loss is, unfortunately, very much of a reality for most people today. The good thing about it though is that now, people can do something in preventing hair loss.

Knowing Your Hair Loss

It is important to note that not all hair loss cases have the same causes. The most common type of hair loss is actually caused by genes and hormones. This is not the only type of hair loss though. These days, you can also lose your worries over stress, nutrient deficiency and tight hairstyles. The first step to preventing hair loss is to know exactly why your hair is falling. Once you know the cause, you can find the right treatment.

Diet and Exercise

Eating right and exercising regularly may not completely prevent hair loss of the genetic type. They can however, help in preventing hair loss due to nutrient deficiency. It is a known fact that the kinds of popular food available these days are loaded with fats and carry few nutrients. It is also a fact that having less of some nutrients like iron, magnesium, zinc and B complex vitamins can cause hair fall. The best solution to this is to eat a nutritious diet. Exercising regularly will also improve your blood circulation which is crucial for the efficient distribution of nutrients to your hair.

Relaxation

Telogen effluvium is a type of hair loss in which a person suddenly suffers from temporary but profuse hair shedding. It is believed that one possible cause of this is stress. Preventing hair loss of this type may mean that you have to learn how to relax. Of course, what is relaxing for some may not be so for others. Generally though, basic relaxation techniques are also methods for preventing hair loss. You can learn basic breathing techniques or progressive muscle relaxation. Others may want to move on to higher meditation or yoga. Sometimes, a simple break from work or listening to soothing music may already be relaxing enough.

Letting Your Hair Rest

You might also lose some of your hair if you are too fond of tight hair styles like braids, pony tails and corn rolls. These hair styles can literally pull your hair strands out and may even cause scarring. Preventing hair loss of this kind is easy. You simply have to alternate your hair styles or avoid tight styles altogether.

Hair coloring and styling may or may not be a factor for hair shedding. It is still better though not to overdo hair treatments. Using too many chemicals on your hair could cause dryness and damage. Preventing hair loss and damage simply means letting your hair rest.

Supplements

Taking hair loss supplements would also help in preventing hair loss. Good products can help provide you with whatever nutrient your body is missing. Some supplements also contain natural DHT blockers for individuals who have hair loss due to the action of DHT.

Hair loss prevention may not be as difficult as you think. You simply have to learn to be gentle to your hair and yourself. A clean, natural, stress free lifestyle is the right way to decrease hair loss.
