This is why more and more people are looking into natural products and acne alternative medicine to treat the skin condition.

One alternative medicine for acne is Chinese medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine has been around for thousands of years, and it’s no surprise individuals are starting to embrace its healing properties as an acne alternative medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine often utilizes herbs and food sources to alleviate acne symptoms.

Diagnosis:

How is diagnosis done? In Chinese acne alternative medicine, the examiner will attempt to pinpoint the source of the condition and then recommend a treatment that corresponds to that source. There are two major factors believed to cause acne, and those are Heat and Dampness.

Particular symptoms of acne can pinpoint the source of heat or dampness. With acne alternative medicine, it is believed that discovering the source of heat or dampness can help you find its corresponding treatment.

Causes of heat:

Calming treatments are usually associated with “cooling″ foods such as cucumber, agar, egg white, banana and gluten. The food sources used in this acne alternative medicine are supposed to counteract heat in the body that causes the acne symptoms mentioned earlier.

The question remains: Is it effective to treat acne? Traditional Chinese treatment is an acne alternative medicine and has no scientific proof on how they can treat acne. Though, cases have shown that its utilization of natural herbs and foods may have an indirect and positive effect on the general wellness of the body. Effectiveness varies among individuals and treatment may take a certain amount of time to work. Before jumping into any acne alternative medicine, always consult your healthcare provider first.

Why should we go on a low diet? Because excessive fat in our diets may lay the groundwork for heart disease. The simple understanding of low diet is to low your daily fat intake.

If you cut your fat intake completely, you will lack in at least one of the essential nutrients. Becuse there are six basic necessities essential for normal health in food, proteins, carbohydrates, fats (which are also manufactured by the body), vitamins, minerals, and water.

People’s daily intake are low in essential nutriments, minerals and other vital requirements, but too rich in fat as well as calories, refined sugars, starches, and oils in western counties.

The excessive intake of fats leads to the shortening of life, premature death by heart attacks and strokes, obesity, and numerous crippling illnesses.

The arterial walls in your body can be high in cholesterol due to the amount of fat in your diet. The worst intake is animal fat from red meat which is high in fat content, this of course will increase your cholesterol level in your body. The blood is what transmits the cholesterol from the liver to fats in your system. We need to control this by keep in check the fat in our food.

We should eat less dangerous fats such as polyunsaturated and Omega-3 that are abundant in foods like fish, olive oil, and avocados. This will cut down the bad fats and give you a better diet taking in more of the good fats.

Both men and women who achieved a large weight loss of about 20 pounds on the low-fat diet, were estimated to have a life expectancy of double that of people on a regular diet.

People on a low-fat or fat-free diet it is most certainly known now are virtually free from heart attacks and strokes, which are so common among people on a fat diet.

To lack understanding of foods is not the correct basis for a low diet. You are expected to eat palatable foods and not to be on a starvation diet.

Tighter muscles and less flab with increasing energy and less weight is the healthy way with your low-fat, low-cholesterol diet. You will of course feel much better in youself with the reduction in your fat as you burn it off.

Brain Training - You’ll Be Happier For It

My experience with brain fitness software has revealed a very interesting and at first surprising connection to my level of happiness and sense of well-being. I′ve also heard this commented on regularly by other brain exercisers. The connection seems to work in two directions: If I′m feeling good, I do better at the brain exercise and when I do the brain exercise, it makes me feel happier.

Recent scientific research would seem to shed light on both aspects of this phenomenon. Beginning with research performed by Dr. Richard Davidson at the University of Wisconsin in 2005, scientists have consistently found that the brains of those who meditate (such as Tibetan monks in Davidson’s study) function differently than normal brains. The firing of neurons is better coordinated and more intense.

This seems to be what is happening when I am calm, relaxed and focused during brain training. And the effect seems to be enhanced when I take a break and meditate between training blocks. My brain fires more evenly; I can concentrate better, and my working-memory functions more effectively. Conversely, when I′m not feeling meditative, my attention is fractured and my brain quickly loses short-term information.

Another telling aspect of the research findings is that the more we practice these skills of mindful meditation, the more our brain responds.

The second aspect of the relationship between brain-training and a sense of well-being is equally profound and exciting. Two recent studies hone in on the way that depression works on a neural level. One reveals that antidepressants need new nerve cells to be effective. The study by researchers from UT Southwestern Medical Center showed that the effectiveness of anti-depressants in mice depends upon the growth of new nerve cells in the part of the brain known as the dentate gyrus. The other study by German researchers found that stress inhibits new neural cell growth, thereby contributing to depression.

Fortunately, we can do two things to help generate new nerve cells in the dentate gyrus: aerobic exercise and working-memory activation. Aerobic exercise of course has many positive results and has long been associated with mood elevation. Increased blood flow in the brain helps stimulate neural growth. It’s been less well understood however that certain kinds of mental task can stimulate new cell growth.

It’s important to note that not all brain exercises produce these benefits to any significant degree. Casual brain teasers or games that don’t demand our full focus and attention over an extended period will likely not be much use. The conditions for new nerve cell growth call for intense concentration at a novel and rewarding mental task.

When researching the brain training program that’s right for you, check out the vendor’s information on the science of the training. Is the training based on or supported by academic or independent study? Does the vendor specify what you should expect to gain from the training? Is there a prescribed schedule for use?

As with any form of exercise, brain exercise rewards in equal measure to our investment. We can’t expect to stay physically fit without breaking a sweat - so, too, a truly effective brain training program requires our attention and effort. The rewards to our mental health and happiness, however, can repay every ounce of that investment.

4. Get out and exercise. Whether you are walking, running, or using machines, stay active. Try to get thirty minutes of exercise a day. Some people also enjoy yoga, pilates, or tai chi. To make exercising more fun, invite a friend; a friend will also help you stay motivated.

5. Laugh alot. Laughing relieves stress and makes you feel great.

6. Eat more fruits and vegetables. They are rich in vitamins and minerals, and also low in calories. Choose organic food as often as possible for the following reasons: they are higher in nutrients, are not sprayed with conventional pesticides, and are not genetically modified. Eat superfoods (foods with many health benefits) such as blueberries, cacao, bee pollen, aai, maca, aloe vera, noni fruit, flax seeds, spirulina, olives, and avocados.

Stay positive. Take time to enjoy life, because this is YOUR life.
