Ballroom and Latin dancing, while frightening propositions to adults without experience, are nothing for kids. And why should they care? Children lack the concerns for appearances they adults harbor, aren’t unafraid of falling or looking stupid, and have energy any adult would kill for. So with all that moldable drive, and fearlessness, all that’s missing is quality dance instruction. And now Clearwater has that, as well.

Back in August, world famous purveyors of dance, Arthur Murray Dance Studios opened their newest location in Clearwater, FL. There is now one less excuse for not learningballroom dancing in Tampa Bay. With the launching of the Kid’s Dance Program, parents can now be certain that their children can at least hold their own at every wedding they′ll ever attend. So whether you want to retire to the the islands on your famous kid’s dollar, ensure they have them a rewarding type of exercise, or just want them involved in a positive activity, Arthur Murray Clearwater has a kid’s dancing program to fit your needs.

Students learn fundamental skills in at least two dance styles in every class. The beginner class is designed as a fun introduction to ballroom dance in the various dancing styles. The Advanced Classes will then focus on dance choreography and advanced technique. The Good News About Depression

To begin with, depression ain’t “bad.” All of us, men and women, young and old, “get” to deal with depression. It happens naturally as a part of life. Depression isn’t wrong or bad, it’s simply part of being human. It goes with having an emotional body, and you aren’t wrong or broken or bad for feeling it.

Depression can be described as feeling listless, deficient, empty, meaningless, bad and wrong. So while feeling bad and an unpleasant sense of “wrongness” is often part of being depressed, you aren’t bad or wrong for feeling depressed. Feeling not ok and deficient is part of depression, but you yourself are not wrong or deficient because you have those kinds of feelings.

Being alive and living life, we all will feel some of the symptoms of depression occasionally. We all from time to time feel unhappy. We all tend to feel like we don’t even want to get out of bed here and there. We will all notice that we aren’t getting pleasure anymore from things that previously gave us pleasure. Depression is usually diagnosed when we have these types of feelings for two weeks or longer.

To feel unhappy, listless, lethargic, gloomy, despondent, hopeless, downcast and wrong is human, we all have to deal with those feelings. But when those feelings seem to stick around for longer than a few hours, a few days or a few weeks, depending on our perspective, we diagnose ourselves as depressed, or go get a diagnosis of depression.

So depression is quite serious, because it is all these feelings that we don’t want to have for a few minutes, let alone a few weeks. You could even say one of the major features that goes with depression is resistance, we don’t want it. Which is why taking drugs to numb those feelings is so popular.

You aren’t bad or wrong for feeling depression!

Depression is called a mental illness or disease. Are you bad for catching a cold or the flu? Heck no! Just so, you aren’t bad or wrong for feeling the illness of depression. And, just like the flu, it feels bad, sometimes awful, like you are going to die. But you aren’t wrong for feeling like you are going to die when you have the flu, and you certainly aren’t bad when you feel miserable from depression. It happens, and there are ways to make it go away quickly!

The good news about depression is that it isnt bad, and you arent wrong or not okay for having it. In fact, you are only bad if you do nothing about it and let it run or ruin your life. But if you can look at it as an emotional learning experience, an opportunity to heal yourself and move forward powerfully in life, then you are ahead of the game!

More good news about depression is that it can be a powerful step in your own personal growth and development. It is a way to learn about your inner self, how you work, what turns you on and off, and how to deal with the negative emotions that come up in life for all of us. You can even learn a lot about how to actually thrive emotionally. Feeling depressed can lead to a greater level of self awareness and understanding that impacts us at a rewarding level.

We didn’t get to take classes on thriving emotionally in school. We did not get to take courses on dealing with difficult emotions or on how to feel more inspiration and passion in our lives. So depression can be a chance to learn more emotional intelligence. That will have long lasting benefit! You can start by picking up a book on emotions or emotional intelligence to begin your journey of learning!
