I Want to Quit Smoking

You can quit smoking with the right information and become smoke free. Every time that I had quit smoking it had taking a lot of effort. In all those times that I had tried to quit before, it did teach me what helps and destroys my efforts. So, if you fail in stopping the smoking, you could also cut back on how many you have. There is no doubt on the benefits for yourself and the loved ones in your life. Check with your health provider for workshops for extra help in being smoke free. With the right approach; the cravings will be easy to over come. Do not fall into the trap believing that quit smoking is too hard to do.

The last time I had quit smoking, I signed up with one of those stop smoking support groups. The reason I did that is it was just killing me to quit over and over again, pure torture it was… It was going to be the last time for me. Daily and personalized support can go a long way. It can be one hell of a psychological ride, not counting the physical cravings. Having a stop smoking support group and a checklist help with tips and advice to head off what you will be facing. There is nothing innovative about this, we all go thur the same withdraws. I was just so afraid to fail again, stress and more stress. Your mind will play tricks on you, coming up with reasons to smoke. Learn a few ways to talk yourself out of having that smoke.

Knowledge is key in helping equipped your self with how it will affect you. Change your habits and behavior, stay away from the smokers, they will be triggers for you to smoke. Repeat after me “Tobacco is a drug of dependence” treat it as such. Do not put oneself in the situation of being around smokers, it will make you crack and ask for a cigarette.

Smoking two packs of cigarettes a day was to much for me to quit cold turkey. One of the most known stop smoking idea that people know, not for me with no plan, I don’t think so. Climbing the wall themselves was not for me, in the cold turkey plan.

The use of products to quit smoking is useful. Cravings from withdraw of the nicotine would be eased. A nicotine patch or gum would be helpful in plans of not smoking. If you end up having a few cigarette after you quit just start once again. Don’t cry over a few more cigarettes; refocus your efforts on ways to stop smoking.

Start by making a promise to yourself, that you are going to find a way to quit smoking, it starts with a plan. When you start you will be very uncomfortable at first. Family can help with your stress. Smokers fail in there first attempts all the time, just start again.

Nicotine is in a lot of the smoking aid on the market, more are coming on the market that does not contain nicotine. Doctor have a vast array of drugs that can be used in a quitting smoking program. Some them are bupropion, chantix and fluoxetine which is not in the scope of this article to discuss. Doctor will know what is best for you.

When your body is kicking the nicotine it will give quit smoking side effects “withdraw symptoms” like a mild cold or irritability and fatigue. These symptoms will be the strongest in the first 48 hours and in the first week and ease up in the second week. Remember it is temporary and will go away. If you understand this it will be easy to know what going on in your body and when it will go away.

If you need an incentive to quit smoking think about how much money your can save in a year if you are not buying smokes. After a year buy your self something special. One other incentive would be no more negative attitudes from the non smokers at work. You will no longer have to stand 15 feet away from the door of a building because you will not be smoking anymore. No anti-smoking law to deal with, make all the laws they want, raise taxes on the cigarettes. I have always said if they would outlaw cigarettes, it would put all the drug dealers out of business.

There’s a belief that one doesn’t have to be in shape to be a good golfer. This is perpetuated by such portly individuals as Craig Stadler and John Daly (Both weighing in at a modest 300 pounds. Maybe they were sumo-aspirants at one point?) who go on to win tournaments despite the invasion of Paunch deLeon they have going on around their midsections. These two and others like them are clearly the exception, not the rule, and I guarantee you they would be better players if they were in better shape. Not to mention they would be able to play longer.

The Three Pillars of Golf Fitness: Strength, stamina, flexibility. These are the three things you should focus your training on. You only need to look at Tiger Woods and his performance to see how being fit can help improve your game. His obsession with being fit has led the concept of golf fitness to become extremely popular, especially on the PGA tour.

Products: There are many books available that have many tips on improving golf fitness. I have been playing now for over 20 years and, knock on wood, have never had an injury that has forced me to miss a round. I have been lucky. Flexibility and strength work together to develop a more consistent and reliable swing by promoting a more efficient, stable, balanced and coordinated swing. PGA TOUR Professionals have doubled their strength, tripled their flexibility and have seen up to 20 yards in added distance off the tee.
