Imagine being able to lose belly fat, so that you finally can have a flat stomach, with toned abs. Sound impossible? You’ve tried everything but nothing seems to work? Well, if you have been doing 150 crunches per day, and you still can′t see any result, I can tell you why. You are doing it the wrong way. Sorry, but that is the truth.

Because of the way our bodies are made, you can′t just target one area of your body to try to lose some weight there. Your body must be looked as a whole. You will never be able to lose that stubborn belly fat if you are only doing crunches.

Workouts

Ab exercises are great, but avoid getting into a rut. If you do millions of crunches only, your body will get used to it, and they will not be very effective. Make your exercising a bit more fun by trying something new. Some great exercises are Bicycle Crunches, V-Sit and Toe Raises. These will work your core, and will include more muscles in the exercise. This will help you burn more fat.

Don′t be scared of using weights when working out. Don′t worry; you will not end up like the Hulk. You see, muscle tissue will even burn fat when resting. So more muscles equals burning more fat. This will help you getting rid of your belly fat.

Set as a goal to get your heart rate going for 30 minutes per day. You don′t have to go to gym to do that. You can go for a walk, always take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. Be creative.

But don′t forget to exercise ALL your muscles. If you focus on your abdomen only, your back will be out of balance, and so on. So make sure you give all body parts a run for it.

Diet

If your diet contains a lot of junk food, sweets, sodas, beers, and sugar, you will never get rid of your pot belly. Take a little bit of time, and find out what it is that your body needs. Don′t get fooled by a pill that will make you thin by tomorrow, there is NO QUICK FIX to a great body.

Have a balanced diet of lean meats, fruits and vegetables. Drink a lot of water. But don′t starve yourself.

And don′t forget to spoil yourself every now and then. If you deny yourself anything nice, it’s very unlikely you will be able to keep it up.

You need to remember to stay patient. The midsection it the last area your body will actually lose weight. But stay determined. If you don′t give up, you will soon see great results.
