Skin Weft Weave

On the cutting edge of styling, skin weft weaves are a great way to transform your hair. This beautiful weave is virtually undetectable when completed correctly. Unlike other weaving methods, a skin weft weave can be completed over a very short amount of time.

Just like other bonded weaves, you’re applying a weft using a bonding substance. However, regular bonded weaves require the weft to be placed on the scalp. A skin weft weave is completed by applying wefts (tracks) of human or synthetic hair to your natural hair by means of a bonding agent, such as bonding glue.

If you’re thinking of getting a skin weft weave, it’s important to remember that heated styling appliances can ruin your style if used in close proximity to the actual bond. Running a ceramic iron over a bond can cause the glue to melt, so make sure to be careful when using those types of styling tools while your skin weft weave is in place.

There are basically two different types of hair you can use for your skin weft weave: human hair or synthetic hair. Human hair is the obvious choice because of its durability and ability to take and hold styles, color, heat-styles, and wet-sets. Some synthetic hair can be wet-set; however, if you’re planning on using any type of heat to style your hair, you should stick with human hair. Either way, you want to match your extension hair as closely as possible to your hair’s natural color and texture.

To complete a skin weft weave:

1. Straighten the hair beforehand if possible so you won’t have to straighten over the bond. Remember, hair that has oils or products in it can cause the bond to not stick as well as it should.

2. Your first part will be at the nape of the neck, from the left side to the right. Measure your weft to the desired length and cut where needed. Then, apply the bonding substance to the track of the weft.

3. Take your weft and place it as close as possible to the scalp, but so that it is still remaining on the hair. Press down to secure the hold.

4. Your next part should be roughly 1/2” thick. Follow the same directions to place the track on the hair, brushing the hair between the application of wefts to stop the hair from getting tangled. All your parts for the remainder of the weft application should be 1/2” thick.

5. Continue to do this until you don’t have enough hair to part horizontally. When this happens, the remainder of the hair will be used for blending and to create the natural part. Make a part 1-2 inches from the top of the forehead where your client will wear their part. Part the hair as desired. Take the rest of the remaining hair and cover the wefts and blend with the extension hair.

When your skin weft weave is complete, make sure to use extra care with heated styling tools. Ceramic irons and curling irons can melt the glue bond, causing the tracks to slip or fall out completely.

You should expect your skin weft weave to give you 2-4 weeks of beautiful hair when cared for and completed properly.

The Benefits of Professional Salon Hair Care Products…

Great looking hair that is really healthy and clean makes you feel better about yourself and makes you look healthier and cleaner to other people. Keeping your hair looking this way is important, and using good quality hair products such as shampoo and conditioner is vital. But… when it’s time to buy your hair care products, how do you know which are the best ones to use?

Comparing hair care products on cost alone, high street hair products may seem cheaper and a better buy, giving the impression of providing more value because of their low cost. Professional salon products on the other hand may seem expensive with a typical 300ml bottle priced around $20/GBP10, 5 times the price of the average high street hair products at an average cost of $4/GBP2.

On just this kind of price comparison alone, it appears that the cheap high street hair products are the winners as you are getting 5 times as much product for the same cost, or the same amount of product for 1/5 the price of the salon professional hair care products.

When you look more closely at the comparison between the effectiveness and the quality of high street hair products and salon hair products, does the comparison end up in the favour of cheap hair care products, or do the cheaper high street products turn out to be a false economy?

To see if cheaper high street hair products provide more value for money in both the short and long term when compared with professional salon hair care products, we made the decision to test them both to see how each of the hair products compare against one another in a quality test.

For our test we compared a 300ml bottle of professional salon shampoo and compared that with a 300ml bottle of your average cheap high street shampoo. To achieve the our required standard of cleaning, the professional salon shampoo needed just 10ml per application to achieve this standard, whereas the cheap high street shampoo needed 50ml per application to achieve the same standard of cleaning.

The high street hair shampoo, using a 50ml application, provides 6 applications per 300ml bottle (approximately). The professional shampoo, using a 10ml application, provides around 30 applications per 300ml. Hence the high street shampoo worked out at $0.64c/GBP0.32p whilst the professional shampoo came in at $0.66c/GBP0.33p.

Conclusion: although cheap hair care products initially seem a better deal and provide more value, in reality there is virtually no difference in price when it comes to the economics of professional salon hair care products. And? when you include the much higher quality, the greater effectiveness and visual results, and the deeper and more thorough cleansing and conditioning of salon hair care products, buying cheaper high street hair products in favour of salon hair products is a complete false economy.

Whatever the reasons of baldness may be it is not only a disease but also a threat to your self-esteem. It does hamper your charming personality. And anyways, who would want to grow bald at his middle age or for that matter any age? You might have tried different therapies to sure it but would have been disappointed by the results.

Now it should be said that there is not a magic pill for curing balding (yet) and there is no one single treatment that works for everyone. As a matter of fact, in many instances a combination of a few anti- balding products will derive better results than any one particular product or approach.

The methods to fight hair loss go from drugs, natural products to hair implant. An effective herbal hair loss product that deserves to be mentioned is Provillus, an herbal remedy that stimulates the scalp reviving the dead hair follicles while blocking the main hormone that causes hair loss: DHT.

If your hair has been falling out lately it does not necessarily mean that you will go bald. It is quite normal for you to lose hair every day. However, if your hair loss seems to be more than usual, consult a physician for a definite diagnosis.

Medications such as finasteride (not approved for women), minoxidil, Cortisone (Injection), Anthralin (cream or ointment) are very effective in treating Hair Loss or Baldness. Usage of these medications may have side-effects.

Terminal hairs become villus when baldness occurs. Anyone that will predisposed to baldness will show signs such as thinning by the age of fifty and in some cases it can start as early as their mid thirties but this only applies to every one in three men.

Male pattern and female pattern baldness are two of the most common types of baldness known to us. This male pattern type is the most prevalent and affects a largest proportion of men. Whilst women also suffer with this type of baldness, their numbers are not quite as high as those in the male population.

Regular aerobic exercise can help keep androgen levels naturally lower while maintaining overall health, lowering stress and increasing shbg. Anthralin is a synthetic, tarry substance that you apply to your scalp and wash off daily. It’s typically used to treat psoriasis.

Just as there are remedies for when you are sick there is also a remedy for loss of hair. Mother nature can actually help you regrow any lost hair that you may have experienced such as a receding hair line or hereditary baldness. Why seek a natural remedy for hair loss?

Even lack of blood circulation in your scalp can make you start losing more hair than you should. Got a receding hair line? Chances are your DHT level in your body is very high, causing your follicles to weaken and produce thin or no hair at all. If you are not taking saw palmetto daily, do so immediately. It’s natural, cheap, and effectively treats common baldness.

Baldness usually occurs for many reasons but the main one to be focusing on is DHT. DHT is the leading cause for male pattern and female pattern baldness. It’s a vicious hormone that attaches itself to your healthy hair follicles. As you can guess this leads to thinning hair and eventual baldness.

Advanced technology now has enabled many surgeons to perform hair transplantations on their patients in a way that you would never even suspect. Hair is taken from the sides and back where it is growing, and is grafted onto the top and front where it is falling out.

Some men and women start going bald at a very young age but don’t even notice at first. Because we lose between 100-150 hairs a day, you won’t even take note when you lose a few extra. Unfortunately, over time, it will become apparent that your hair is thinning and possibly could lead to baldness.

There are different factors involved in hair loss. Hormonal imbalance, excess sebum clogging pores and preventing nutrition to hair follicles, inadequate nutrition for body, stress and anxiety, anemia, infections, dandruff, fungi, chemotherapy, certain drugs, diabetes, lupus etc are all possible reasons for hair fall.

The are many remedies available to treat baldness. These have varying degrees of success and it is important to understand this as there are many different causes of baldness, a treatment which may well help with some of these may not be effective with others.

Both men and women have the potential to lose their hair. This is fortunate for those of us who will not have to experience hair loss. The less fortunate people will lose their hair. There are several reasons that hair loss occurs. Many of them are key factors that contribute to hair loss that may be prevented.

Hair growth and hair loss may be effected by stressful events in one’s life. Large portions of hair may be falling out with extended or deep stress issues. The body is unable to accept all of the nutrients as efficiently as it would without stress. Fluctuations in hormones from stress related issues may cause hair loss in some places and unsightly hair growth in others. Managing your stress issues and exercising regularly may help you to reduce stress. Both will allow you to halt hair loss and possibly experience hair re-growth.

Preservatives do not work by preserving yourself, only the food you eat. So all of the refined and processed foods that you eat may have a taxing toll on your hairs ability to repair, grow, and stay in your scalp. Removing even a small amount of refined foods from your diet will improve your hair, and prevent hair loss from increasing. If you are experiencing severe hair loss due to your diet, then a complete diet overhaul may be necessary and recommended by your doctor.

If you recently started taking a new drug or prescribed medication, and are experiencing hair loss, ask your doctor about side effects and potential side effects. If it starts after you begin a medication, but it is not a listed effect; report it to your doctor immediately. Often enough new medications cause hair loss and it can be easily reversed.

Your hair loss problems may have been inherited from your genetic lineage. Parents or grandparents, maybe even distant relatives might have had a genetic hair loss problem. The mother’s side of the family has the most dominant traits for hair loss. Many living and age related factors may be in effect. Doctors can prescribe medications that can help your hair re-grow.

Hair Spray? Check. Flat Ironed hair? Check. Women, and men alike both follow the trends of using hair sprays, gels, ironing, blow drying, and many other chemical and heat processes that can damage the hair shaft and cause your hair to literally fall out in clumps. This is saddening for those that care about their hair. The best thing you can do to prevent even more hair loss is give your locks a deep conditioning treatment, get it cut, and start over without dying or using chemicals. Other environmental factors such as air quality, sunlight, UV rays, and your job all play a roll in hair loss.
