We have always seen in the movies or television that a person can be “brainwash″ and controlled. It has always spiked our curiosity whether such a situation can really occur to us where none of the thought or actions are our own. Yes, we have always wondered whether our actions can be controlled by others just be using hypnosis. These questions are actually two of the main driving force which propel people to want to know more about hypnosis.

The control of thoughts and actions of others falls under the study of subliminal hypnosis. Subliminal actually is derived from the Latin word “Limen” which means threshold or Limit. Therefore, subliminal means a state of awareness, which just lies below the level of consciousness. While under the subliminal hypnosis stage, a person conscious mind is not able of anything. The part of the mind, which is active, is the sub conscious mind. Thus, we talk about “awakening” the subliminal within us.

At first the subconscious is targeted, you are brought into a trance i.e. a state in between consciousness and sub-consciousness. Then a message is instilled by the hypnotist which will get imprinted onto your subconscious. The information will be there without your knowledge and will be acted upon only with the help of certain precise commands or signals. This is where the problem lies since the hypnotist may input unwanted commands which may not be favorable to you.

A drawback of the process is that the human brain may at times execute automatically the hypnotic state. Example of this can be given through the demonstration of hearing of one single voice when in a noisy crowd. Your subconscious cuts off all other sounds enabling you to listen to that one single voice that you want to hear. Focusing on that one particular sound or voice your subconscious is actually neglecting all the other voices. This is an instance of automatic execution of the hypnotic state.

Subliminal hypnosis has always been an area of great interest to the commercial world. The potential benefits that can be reaped by these corporations are indescribable. Imagine a situation where through advertisements, these marketing companies can actually persuade the consumers to mould their buying habits to suit these companies? In fact, these companies to plant subliminal messages into the print and broadcast media are spending huge sums of monies.

The surest way of combating these attempts by anyone is learning more about them. This process of learning will be of much help since then no one will be able to exploit or harm you and also you can try out the therapeutic value of it to your hearts content. Also learning and knowing more about it will help you overcome the fear factor and thus get you better equipped to stand against any such attack on your person.

Do you like awake the whole night waiting to fall asleep? Do you use prescription drugs to fell you to sleep? Do you go to sleep in the morning when the night fails to put you to bed? If the answer is yes then think again. You like a total of 20 million citizens of America is victim to what is called acute insomnia, but that is not the end of the story. It just begins here. There is good news for all of you out there who suffer from this disorder of sleeping. Hypnosis insomnia therapy is what you need. This therapy will enable you to sleep effectively, safely and most important restfully. No more felling groggy or lethargic in the morning, just a beautiful freshness about you. So what is this hypnosis therapy?

Foremost of all, hypnosis cannot be equated to sleep. It is an altered stage of extreme deep relaxation where the mind is still awake. Under hypnosis, although the patient is unaware of his or her physical surrounding, the mind is highly receptive of any suggested stimulus. As such, with this form of therapy, you can actually program the mind for peaceful sleep. This occurs during the stage when the body goes into a state of relaxation. Even then, the mind is fully conscious of any suggestion made to it. With just a few sessions, your mind will already be programmed to let you sleep better. This is a very effective program which is used by many as an alternative to medications.

The next procedure after complete relaxation is to learn of the cause behind your sleeplessness. Sometimes small changes in your evening habits may prove to be very useful for a good night’s sleep. This in fact is an important part of the hypnosis insomnia therapy.

The most vital procedure in a hypnosis insomnia therapy is neuro-linguistic programming, in other words NLP. This program reverses the thought and feeling process of the patient. Those experiences or ideas which previously created anxiety and stress, will now produce a calming and relaxing effect. If the anxiety in the patient cannot be removed then success in such cases cannot be had. Hypnotherapy also uses processes of visualization which help in shutting of anxiety and stress through programming of the unconscious. Since the effect is permanent so the feeling stays the whole day and ultimately while going to bed it helps you to fall asleep and have a reposeful night.

Another method used for curing patients of insomnia is the Ericksonian Hypnotic Metaphor program. Using this program, the therapist will use metaphor to enable the subconscious mind to remove the feeling of anxiety, which disrupt sleeps.

Initially we discuss about self-hypnosis as an better way to treat insomnia. Although it is not possible for you to be successful in self hypnosis every time, it is crucial that you continue to train yourself using post hypnotic therapy.

The good thing about this sort of treatment is that, it is not harmful. In addition, a third party cannot harm you in anyway by programming you because your subconscious mind cannot be force to do anything against your will. Furthermore, This treatment only takes 30 minutes per session. With such a quick turn around time, you mind is already imprinted with the “messages” to dispel all your anxiety that causes your acute insomnia. As such, it is a wise choice to consider this form of treatment in the future if you suffer from insomnia.

Like all forms of treatments, there are always exceptions to the rule. Those who are senile, psychotic or having an IQ level below 10 are extremely difficult to hypnotize. This is because they cannot concentrate or have no motivation at all. As with all things, we must always be motivated before we can be successful in any endeavor.
