The truth is, doing ab exercises may actually be hurting your six-pack ab results, therefore, instead of solely doing ab exercises, we must rev up our metabolism and stick with healthy eating to get ripped abs.

Ab exercises have always been promoted as the best way to achieve ripped abs. Many different types of crunches, sit-ups and core exercises, mostly utilize and recruit the hip flexor muscles rather than the abdominal muscle group, which can cause muscle imbalances. Some ab exercises position the back in an awkward position, which can cause injury.

Ab exercises don’t have any effect on having ripped abs. To have ripped abs, we need to increase our metabolism. Resistance training as well as interval training have produced very quick results when it comes to burning fat.

Interval and resistance training demands our muscles to work more and harder. Consequently, our muscles will need more fuel to be able to work and our body then looks for excess fat, usually in the stomach area, as extra fuel to burn.

A beneficial side effect of interval and resistance training is an increase in metabolism, which allows for extended fat burning even several hours after the training session.

Healthy eating means our body is being fuelled by good quality foods like lean proteins and complex carbohydrates (not sweets, sodas, fatty and fast foods), that allow for efficient burning of calories, therefore little or no excess calories are stored as fat in our stomach areas.

Consuming small, frequent meals around 5-6 times throughout the day prevents our blood sugar levels from going up and down too much. As a result, we remain energetic and manage to maximize excess body fat burning.

Ab exercises may be hurting your six pack ab results so the best way to avoid muscle imbalances and injuries and to achieve ripped abs is to increase metabolism through interval and resistance training and to practice healthy eating.

95% Of Supplements Are A Waste. Get Ripped Abs Secrets

First of all I have tried everything! You name it I tried it and I still didn′t have those rock hard abs you see in the infomercials. Here there isn′t any hype just facts and secrets the rockers, pills and lotion sellers don′t want you to know.

So trust me when I say that for the most part, about 95% of supplements are a complete waste of your hard earned money. I’ve been approached by supplement companies in the past looking for me to promote their products for them, and offering me a lot of money to do so.

Well, you know what I do? I tell them to shove it! Seriously, I won′t promote something to my readers that I don′t honestly believe in.

The fact is, I’ve learned over the years through my own experience, as well as hundreds of my clients and friends experiences with supplements, that they are really just selling you the dream that their pill or powder will be some “magical” solution to your struggle with getting that lean ripped body that you’ve been wanting for years. In reality, most supplements do nothing at all to help you improve your body.

Don′t get me wrong… I’m not totally bashing supplement companies, but like I said, about 95% of the products they promote are worthless, and won′t create any noticeable changes in your body. I will admit that there can be a place for meal replacements for people that can′t find the time to prepare or pack all of their real food meals.

I also admit that I do think a high quality, fast digesting protein like whey protein can be useful to mix into your post-workout smoothies. And fish oil products are generally beneficial as well (if they′re from a reputable company).

But the fact is that REAL FOOD is ALWAYS better for you than processed supplements (as long as you choose the right foods). Anybody that tells you otherwise has either been brainwashed by all of the propaganda and super-hyped up ads that the supplement companies have spread throughout every magazine on the planet, or they have financial ties to selling supplements in some way themselves.

Below are some of the only supplements I would stand behind!

The topic of ab exercises should be discussed. Television and media bombards us with countless ab exercises and ab machines, each claiming to give you six pack abs. This topic needs to be discussed so that the consumer will understand what they really need to do to get six pack abs. To achieve six pack abs we need to focus on exercises and dietary adjustments to help increase our metabolism. When we increase our overall metabolism, that will burn the necessary fat that will allow for our six-pack abs to become visible.

Increasing our energy expenditure so that it is greater than our caloric intake allows our bodies to utilize our fat as an energy source. When that occurs, it will burn the fat that is stored in our belly.

Doing multi-joint exercises and resistance training increases our metabolism. We increase our lean body mass as a result of the increased training. When this occurs, our muscles increase their metabolic activity and require more fuel to burn.

Interval training has been effective in increasing the body’s metabolism. The anaerobic component of the training forces the body to adapt to the increased demands of the activity, which results in increased muscle mass. The increased muscle mass has an increased metabolic activity and continues to burn fat for several hours after the exercise activity.

Diet also needs to be changed to help increase the body’s metabolism. By eating a diet of quality foods made up of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals, we enable our bodies to utilize these foods as energy.

In addition, by increasing the number of meals we eat per day to 5-6 times and decreasing the portion sizes, we are better able to maintain our energy throughout the day and help maintain our blood sugar levels.

Increasing our energy expenditure and at the same time monitoring and decreasing our food intake, we can help our body to use the excess fat that we have as a fuel source.

The truth about ab exercises is that in order to get ripped abs, we need to watch what we eat and increase our overall activity levels. By stimulating our metabolism through interval training, we can help our body to be more efficient at burning excess belly fat and help us achieve ripped abs.
