The growth in anti-aging skin care products has grown enormously over the last two decades, this is due primarily to the fact we are all living longer and want to look younger as we get old. We achieve this with anti-aging products that synthesize the production of the protein collagen. Most anti-ageing products (collagen included) fall into the category of anti-oxidants which are the body’s method of slowing down the aging process.

You probably know many anti-oxidants by name, including vitamin C, the use of which is still, even now, hotly debated in the science and nutrition community. The main problem when using any skin care treatments which use vitamin C is that oxidization can occur as soon as they have contact with the air.

Other skin care treatments which mimic the effects of vitamin C are being tried all the time which are hoped to be more stable in the atmosphere and also cheaper to produce. These new anti-oxidant products are not quite as good as vitamin C although other naturally occurring compounds, vitamin E and lipoic acid can achieve the same effect.

The body uses vitamin E as an anti-oxidant and is also used to increase the natural defense we have against disease, including many types of cancer, it is a fat soluble vitamin in people’s blood. Another, lipoic acid is in every cell of our body and is used to generate energy for us to live but also helps reduce and reverse the skin’s ageing process.

Another group of products used to reduce the visible signs of aging are phytochemicals which are compounds extracted from various plants and used in many anti-aging skin care products. Phytochemicals prevent occurrence of certain types of cancer.

Some B-vitamins like ʙ, ʚ and ᧔ are also in use for anti-aging skin care products. The field of anti-aging skin care products is vast and needs a great deal more research.

Although current regimes are effective, there are still many challenges to finding better and more efficient ways to combat the effects of time. Hopefully, these challenges will get resolved in due course and better and cheaper anti-ageing skin care products will be produced.

They cannot replace natural skin care remedies. Natural methods are known, but few actually follow them.

Some people are more fortunate than others when it comes to how good their skin looks but good skin care is not a secret art. Part of the problem with many women is the need for immediate results, always expecting the cosmetic surgeon to save the day using invasive procedures that often end in failure. Of course the greatest benefit of today’s beauty care products is they only cost a fraction of traditional cosmetic surgery but can really provide a much more natural look.

When we think of beauty care products for the skin we typically picture cold cream and anti-aging formulas but there are countless items that promote healthy, youthful skin and these may be some of the most important beauty care products on the market. The importance of our skin cannot be stressed enough and like other areas of our body, requires a little care and attention.

The first step in skin care is making sure your skin is clean as pollution like dust, bacteria and make-up all take their toll, so the skin must be clean. To do this requires a gentle cleanser which must be used with cotton wool pads moving the wetted pads in a circular motion around the face until all areas have been done then once you have washed with warm water, use a soft towel to dab your skin until it is dry.

To ensure your PH balance is not disrupted, you will need to use a tone after the cleanser has been applied. While the tone replaces the PH balance, moisturizing afterwards ensures the skin stays supple and can help reduce the signs of aging that come in the form of small wrinkles and lines. Moisturizing also has the added bonus of locking in the moisture that can be lost without its use, so do not skimp on this beauty care product.

Once or twice weekly you should treat your skin with an exfoliant or natural peel to remove dead skin cells and to deep cleanse your skin as part of you skin care routine. You must not forget however, that when you carry out this exfoliation you make sure that you continue with a complete cleanse and tone afterwards. Following this procedure can also prepare your skin for a spray on tan..

Beauty care product eye creams can now be used to help the very delicate skin around this area by reducing and swelling and signs of aging like lines but improving the elasticity of the skin in this region. Taking some form of daily exercise and drinking plenty of water are two things you don’t need to spend a fortune on but will really improve the skin tone and feel. It is not a good idea to forget the important role our skin plays in our overall health and of course how we look so taking care of it is not just about vanity.

A Spray Tan Backgrounder

Tanning booths have become the number one way for people to keep that year round tanned look. We should all now be aware of the dangers of too much sun (skin cancer) and a number of alternatives are showing success in the market to counteract these health issues.

The quickest and most preferred method of having a fake tan is by using a spray tanning salon service. Although there are many other methods, spraying seems to provide the most even and consistent tan available at the moment.

Just to provide an even more convenient service, manufacturers have introduced spray tanning equipment that can be used in the home too. While there are different ways to provide an alternative tan, the way to achieve it and make it longer lasting lies with spray tanning technology.

Exfoliation is the first step in getting a spray tan, as this rids the body surface of the dead skin cells. The last thing you want is to have dead skin dropping off and leaving lighter patches where it once was.

To complete this part of the preparation, the skin needs to be moist and ready to accept the tan so a good skin moisturizer will need to be applied all over. unless you want people to see the orange palms which you will most certainly have when you have finished.

To avoid any other application mistakes that could give away the fact that the tan is not real, make sure those fingers, feet, elbows and knees are only given the lightest of coats as they have a habit of coming out darker. Where a spray tanning system has been used it is quite normal, once it has been applied, to use some sort of towel to wipe any excess so streaking does not occur.

Don’t wiggle around a lot after applying the self tanning agent, remaining as motionless as possible will help to ensure an even tan. Consider what you are going to wear once you have applied the fake tan as it tends to stain objects, in particular clothing. If possible always choose clothing that is darker and preferably something that is old and won’t matter if a stain is left on it.

Dark clothing is obviously the best choice as even if it does stain, it won’t notice so readily and you won’t have to throw the clothing out. To get the most from your artificial tan, follow these guidelines and you won’t go far wrong.
